Lighting Extrusion Profiles Built Around Your Luminaire

We are not a general plastics extruder. Every profile we run is a lighting component – a diffuser, a lens, a cover or a housing – and the material, wall thickness, surface and optical behaviour are engineered around the luminaire it goes into.

LED Diffuser Profiles

Linear diffusers that hide the LED pitch while holding transmittance - frosted, matte, prismatic or embossed.

LED Lenses & Optical Profiles

Linear lens sections that shape the beam and control glare in linear and architectural luminaires.

Light Covers & Housings

PC and PMMA covers, tubes and troffer housings cut to length and packed for your assembly line.

PC or PMMA - Choosing the Right Material

Material selection for lighting extrusion
Light transmittancePMMA reaches higher clarity and transmission; PC is slightly lower but still clear.
Impact resistancePC is far tougher - the default choice for covers, housings and industrial fittings.
Heat resistancePC holds shape at higher temperatures; relevant close to high-power LED boards.
UV / weatheringPMMA has excellent UV stability; UV-stabilised PC grades are available for exterior use.
Surface & finishBoth run clear, matte, frosted and prismatic; PMMA holds fine prism detail well.
Typical lighting usePMMA: diffusers, lenses, decorative covers. PC: covers, troffer housings, tri-proof fittings.

From Drawing to Production

  1. Drawing review – we check the section, tolerances and optical targets for extrudability.
  2. Profile engineering – wall thickness, radii and material flow are balanced for stable extrusion.
  3. Material selection – PC, PMMA, co-extrusion or a specified compound.
  4. Tooling design – the extrusion die is designed for your section.
  5. Mould manufacturing – die and calibration tooling machined in-house.
  6. Prototype – first-off sections produced for your approval.
  7. Extrusion – production run on a matched extrusion line.
  8. Cutting – cut to length, drilled, notched or machined as required.
  9. Inspection – dimension, appearance and optical checks before release.
  10. Packaging – protective film, bundles and cartons to your specification.

Manufacturing You Can Audit

We run our own extrusion and co-extrusion lines and machine our own tooling, which is what makes short development cycles and small-batch custom profiles practical rather than theoretical.

  • Extrusion and co-extrusion of PC, PMMA and PC/PMMA combinations
  • In-house tooling design and die manufacturing
  • Colour and transmittance matched to RAL / Pantone and optical targets
  • Matte, glossy, frosted, prismatic and embossed surfaces
  • Cutting, machining and packing to your assembly requirements
  • ISO 9001:2015 certified quality system

Who We Supply

We work with OEM and ODM lighting manufacturers, luminaire brands, distributors and engineering contractors who need a profile that does not exist in a catalogue.

Frequently Asked Questions

A drawing or sample is ideal. If you have neither, send the profile cross-section sketch with dimensions, material (PC or PMMA), colour and transmittance target, length per piece, application and estimated annual quantity. Our engineers confirm feasibility and tooling before quoting.
For a new custom profile the tooling is developed for your project and production starts from a low-volume batch. Standard repeat profiles start from small batch quantities; exact MOQ depends on profile weight and material – send the drawing and we confirm.
Yes. Send a sample piece or a dimensioned drawing and we reverse-engineer the section, material and optical behaviour, then produce prototypes for your approval before tooling is finalised.
PMMA (acrylic) gives higher light transmittance and better UV stability for diffusers and lenses. PC (polycarbonate) gives far higher impact resistance and heat resistance for covers, housings and industrial luminaires. We also run PC/PMMA co-extrusion when you need both.
Transmittance is tuneable across a wide range, with matte, frosted, prismatic and embossed surfaces used to control glare and beam spread. Tell us the target transmittance and UGR requirement and we compound and test to match it.
Yes. Customer drawings and tooling are treated as confidential and we are happy to sign an NDA before you release files.

Technical Guides

Eight write-ups on the decisions that come before an order: which material, what the drawing has to show, which tolerances hold, and where the cost and the weeks go. Written by the people who run the dies.
