What we supply

Most diffusers are acrylic because acrylic transmits more light. But in industrial, transport and public-area luminaires the diffuser is also a cover – it has to take impact – and that pushes the material decision to polycarbonate.

The engineering task is to get acceptable diffusion and transmission out of PC without giving up the impact performance that made you choose it. We tune surface structure, wall thickness and grade together.

PMMA transmits more light, but where the diffuser is also the cover – industrial, transport or public-area fittings – impact resistance usually decides it. PC is the safer choice there.
Diffusion is a function of surface structure and material grade as much as base polymer. We tune both to reach the diffusion and transmission you need.
Co-extrusion is often the answer: a PC body for strength with a PMMA diffusing layer for optical performance.
