Troffer Frame Extrusions for Recessed Ceiling Lighting
Our troffer frame extrusions are engineered for recessed ceiling fixtures — the grid-mounted panels found in offices, schools, hospitals, and commercial spaces. As an optical-profile extrusion specialist, we supply lighting manufacturers with precision plastic profiles that form the visible frame and diffuser support of a troffer luminaire.
What the Frame Does
The frame (also called the housing trim or flange) holds the light diffuser in place, defines the fixture’s visible width, and must sit flush against the ceiling grid. In production it has to be dimensionally stable, UV-resistant, and consistent across thousands of meters, batch after batch.
Material Options
- PC (polycarbonate) — high impact strength, heat resistance to 120–130°C, UL94 V-2 / V-0 grades available.
- PMMA (acrylic) — best light transmission (up to 92%), lower cost, ideal for indoor troffers where high heat is not a concern.
- Co-extrusion — available for two-tone or diffuser-integrated frames.
