What this application demands from the profile
Industrial lighting is specified by what the fitting has to survive: impact from tools and vehicles, vibration, dust, moisture, cleaning chemicals and heat from high-power boards. Material choice follows from that list, and it usually points to polycarbonate.
Wall thickness, sealing geometry and fixing method matter more than they do in commercial work, and the profile is often the part that determines the fitting’s IP rating and impact class.

Impact. Industrial fittings are struck and vibrated, and PC survives where acrylic cracks. The higher service temperature also matters near high-power LED boards.
Yes. FR grades are available where the luminaire specification requires them – specify early because it affects material sourcing and lead time.
