Acrylic extrusion for lighting – the same PMMA material family, specified here by how it is processed and where it is used in a luminaire.
What we supply
Acrylic and PMMA are the same material family. In lighting extrusion, what matters is not the name but how the acrylic is processed: melt temperature, die design, calibration and cooling decide whether a prism holds its shape, whether a diffuser is free of flow lines, and whether a wide section stays flat.
We run acrylic on lines set up for optical work, with calibration and cooling tuned for the section rather than for general-purpose extrusion. That is what lets us hold prism pitch on a diffuser and keep a wide cover free of sag.
